The first resource I found was in the group called teachers helping teachers. The post was by Creatubbles about HSC, or highly sensitive children, and it is a resource that has helpful information about things you can do to support those students. It explained the traits of HSC such as deep thinking, great empathy towards others, and having a strong sense of justice. It also gives ways to support these kids such as getting to know them and getting them involved. I think this is a great resource, and other articles like this can be very helpful for teachers who might have students with a disability or a trait that they have never dealt with before and they can find resources from other teachers and people that could be helpful.
The second resource I found was on EdTech and the post was by Mikhail Morozov. The post was about lecture racing, which is a way for the students to interact with the slideshows the teacher uses in class. It gives a step by step on how to use it in the classroom. The teacher can ask questions and post it in front of the class and the class can respond fro, their iPads or tablets. The students can compete against each other in review games and all kinds of other things. I think this is a great way to involve the students rather than standing in front of them and lecturing the whole time.
I think the Google+ communities would be great for being a teacher and I definitely see myself finding different resources and ideas from it. As stated above, there are things I never knew about, such as the lecture racing, that I would love to use in a classroom setting. Google+ could even be used for students to make group projects on and post things on.
